Parks Victoria have been leading a deer control program in Black Range and the greater Gariwerd area over the last year, funded by the State Gov't seeking to reduce environmental degradation caused by deer.  

At this meeting we will be joined by Parks Victoria staff leading the program, and the local shooting contractor working on Black Range public land and private land when approved by landholders. The agenda includes:

• PV Report on Deer Control progress outcomes to date for Black Range, Gariwerd, West Vic & Vic.
• Plan for PV Deer Control in Black Range 2024-25.
• Deer Control Program Operational issues & co-ordination: feedback from attendees and process improvement.
• Review of Invasive animals in Black Range, control approaches, with attendee feedback:  Feral Goats, Rabbits, Foxes, Feral Cats
